Why do we need vitamin C?

Vitamin C is one of the essential vitamins that our body needs for its normal functioning. It is important for the normal functioning of the immune system, production of collagen, reduction of tiredness and fatigue and acts as an antioxidant, which protects the cells from oxidative stress. Supplementation with vitamin C, especially in higher doses up to 1000 mg, is very beneficial, especially in the autumn and winter, after physical activity and during times of increases stress.

Advantages of liposomal vitamin C

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and has relatively good bioavailability. It can be well absorbed and used by the human body at low doses, but at high doses (above 1000 mg) absorption is reduced. In this case, the body uses only a certain percentage of the vitamin C consumed, and the excess is flushed out with urine. Higher doses may also cause stomach and gastrointestinal irritation.

The liposomal form enables better absorption even at high doses. Vitamin C is stored in a liposome, small artificial vesicle, made of the same material as a cell membrane. Liposomal delivery protects vitamin C against gastric and intestinal juices, and prevents the occurrence of gastrointestinal problems.

  5. Which food is rich in vitamin C?

Before using several products at the same time, we always advise you to check the active ingredients and their total value. 8. Why choose liposomal vitamin C?

Liposomal vitamin C enables better absorption even at high doses and thus ensures a higher level of vitamin C in the blood. Liposomes protect not only vitamin C, but also the mucous membrane of the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, thus preventing stomach irritation.
